Introduction
Here are some things you can do to get ready to use Angel.

Getting Familiar

• Take the Tour of Angel. (Requires audio.)
   

• Visit the Sample Angel Course. You can navigate around in it and get used to Angel. To do that:

  • Go to http://angel.dwc.edu

  • On the log in screen, click Course Search under Search and Help
    
     

  • Type Sample Angel in the Keyword Search field and click Search

  • Then Click the course title. The course will appear.

               

System Requirements 

• You must use either Internet Explorer 7.0 or Mozilla Firefox 2.0 as a browser to access Angel. Earlier versions of either browser do not work.

• Mac users: You may not use Safari as your browser with Angel. Download a free copy of Mozilla Firefox 2.0 at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html and use that for accessing Angel.

• Turn off any popup blockers for the Angel website. Popup blockers will prevent you from seeing and using some functions in Angel.

• If you want to use the Whiteboard or Chat function on a computer that has a firewall installed, either at home or at work, you will have to make sure that port 5222 is open. (Email Angelweb Support. for directions.
