Introduction
 When you open a discussion board post to read it, it is automatically marked as Read and the bold formatting of the title is changed to regular text.  

If you read your posts in Nested view you can mark each post read as you read it.

However, if you view your posts in Threaded view they do not get marked as read. This procedure explains how to mark many posts as read at one time.  

Directions 
To mark multiple posts as already read:

• Open the Discussion Forum by clicking on its title.

• Choose Search view
  Choose Unread from the View drop down list. Click Search .
  
  
• Unread messages will appear. 
  
  Check the box at the top to select all displayed messages.. Choose Mark Unread from the message action drop down list. Then click Go. All messages will be marked Read.
