Important Differences Between Linking and
Copying
Accessing Your LOR 1. Log on to ANGEL
2. From the Home Page, under Repositories, click on the title of your
Personal LOR (Example- Personal:Jane Doe Or click on the Learning Repository
icon 3. When you enter the Personal LOR your will be in the Respository area. The Repository area, looks and acts alot like the Lessons area. You will be able to add all of the same content items you can within a course from the Lessons tab. Note: In the upper right, you should see the title of your LOR. This title indicates you are working in the LOR and not in the course.
Import from your LOR 1. Log on to ANGEL 2. From the Home Page, under Repositories, click on the title of your Personal LOR (Example- Personal: Jane Doe). 3. Select the Manage tab 4. Under Repository Access, select the Course and Group Access link. 5. From the Repository Association Editor page, select either my course or my group, depending on whether you want to share content with a course or an ANGEL community group. A listing of all the courses/groups will appear. 6. Select the courses/groups you want to share content with your LOR. 7. Click the Add Selected button. Then click Exit. Note: To remove a course (break the association between the LOR and the course): Select the course/group you want to remove and click the Remove Selected button. Step 2 - Link or Copy LOR Content 1. Log on to ANGEL 2. Enter the course in which you want to import content. 3. Click the Add Content link 4. Click the Import from Learning Object Repository link. The Import from the Learning Object Repository page appears. 6. Under Browse, select the Repository from the drop down menu. Click the Browse button. 7. From the Course/Group browser, you should see the items in your LOR. This replicates the items in the Lessons area of your LOR. 8. Select the items you want to import to your course. 9. Choose link to create a link to the item. Choose copy to copy the item into the course.Items that are linked will have the small arrow denoting a shortcut. ![]() |
