Drop box submission notification
When you log on to your Angel course and click on What’s
new, you will see if there have been any papers submitted since you last
logged on.

If you click on the plus sign, a link to the submission displays. You can
click it to go directly to the submission.
Alternately, you can go to the course page that holds the
drop box and click on the item. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for a
list of links to the submitted items.
-
Click the link (the underlined words) to open the drop box submission.
This screen allows you to download the items, grade them and then enter
the grade and remarks and return the paper if you wish. In this way,
Angel’s Drop Box performs the same function as BlackBoard’s Assignment
item type.

-
Download the files, review and grade them. (Download them by right
clicking on the file and choosing Save.)
-
When
you are ready to give a grade, type the grade in the Grade field
-
Type any remarks in the Remarks field
-
Attach the corrected file(s) by clicking on the attach button. Browse for
the file, click on it and then click Upload file in the Angel window.
Then click Finished. You are returned to the main screen and
files are attached.
-
Check the box “Send an email message to user” if you want to send an
email message alerting the student that their assignment has been
graded. The email goes to their course email. They are alerted next time
they log on. The email consists of the grade, the text that you wrote in
the box, and any remarks.

-
When done, Click OK. The score is entered in the gradebook and the files
you sent are saved in Angel. To see the files again later, click on the drop box item.
-
Student view:
Students can also go back to the item and view the results. This is the
student view of the drop box item after the instructor has graded it.
