Introduction
 You can make an item appear in the gradebook in two ways:

• If the item is one that is connected with an Angel item, for example a drop box, discussion board or test, you set up the gradebook inside the item

• If the item is from an activity outside of Angel, for example an in-class speech, you can set up a column in the gradebook just to record the grades.

Make an item appear in the gradebook from work connected with an item in Angel 

• Navigate to the item. It could be a drop box, a discussion board or a test.

• Under the item name, choose Settings.
• In Settings, click on the Assignment Tab.
• Choose New Assignment from the Drop Down List next to Assignment

• Complete the information about the item. Then Click Save. The item will then appear in the gradebook.
• 

• Go to the Manage tab and click Gradebook and click on Assignments
  
• Click Add New
• Complete the screen, describing the assignment. Leave the Calculation Type as Manual.
  
• Click Save.
