Introduction
You can place a discussion forum in any learning module in Angel. Therefore, you will probably want to place the forum in the folder for the unit that covers the topic dealt with by the forum.

Directions
To add a discussion forum:

Navigate to the folder in which you want the item to appear.
Click Add Content
To add a Discussion Forum, click Discussion Forum
Type a title and subtitle, describing the forum.
To edit the settings for the forum, click the Advanced Radio button (usually not necessary)
To restrict access, click the access tab and complete the information (usually not necessary)
To create a grade book item for the forum, click the Assignments tab and complete the screen.
When done, click Save.
